AISJ Elementary School Library

The AISJ Elementary School Library transforms a previously modest building into the campus’s celebrated learning hub, marked by bold glazed entrance portals that connect it to surrounding classrooms and circulation paths. Its raised roof and slatted arches frame a central atrium flooded with natural light, while a mezzanine of books, reading nooks, and interactive spaces overlooks the double-volume area. Ground-floor areas include reading, study, and makers’ spaces, complemented by a performance area and an outdoor amphitheatre that steps up the natural slope. Playful design elements, such as a spiral slide, hammock-style reading meshes, and cozy window or hexagonal nooks, celebrate childhood, imagination, and the joy of reading while integrating seamlessly with the campus and landscape.
