Kathleen Western - Associate

Kathleen obtained her architectural degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, and joined GLH in 2009 as an associate, design and project architect, and urban designer. She has worked for practices in South Africa and Ireland on projects in those countries and further afield, gaining local and international experience in a wide range of building scales and typologies. She has been instrumental in the design, documentation and implementation of residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use schemes focusing on masterplanning and new town urban design, as well as heritage and conservation projects. Kathleen is involved in the firm’s design portfolio, and she is a Professional Architect registered with SACAP, SAIA, and RIBA.
